SOLOMON Islands has continued its drop in the FIFA ranking once more, hitting its lowest ranking ever since 1993.
In the previous FIFA Ranking released in March, Solomon Islands moved a spot down from 183 to 184, now it has dropped by eights spots to settle on 192th place making it the worst rank the country has reached.
The ranking made a positive move at the beginning of the year jumping from 182 to 180 but could not continue the upward push seeing it fell back to 183 last month.
The further decline is due to the lack of participation in international matches.
Solomon Islands has been out of international action since their March 2013 match against New Zealand’s All Whites, a 2-0 loss which closed out their 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil Stage 3 Qualifiers campaign.
In the past decade for the country has been a roller-coaster of stunning highs and confronting lows.
The best ranking was made in 2007 hitting the 123 spot
Despite the drop in ranks the country remained on fourth spot in the Oceania ranking with the top three spot holders, New Zealand, New Caledonia and Tahiti maintaining their positions.
New Caledonia and all other seven countries all remained unchanged.
