While weather office continues to update the nation with daily updates daily, the office still lacks the right equipment to enable it do its job effectively.
Chief of weather forecaster, Fred Ferah told the Sunday Star that one of the most important equipment the office is lacking is the Radar.
“A Radar is very important to help monitor the weather patterns more effectively,” Ferah said.
“At the moment we are using models, which is not enough yet,” he added.
Ferah said if only the responsible authority can buy one for the office, it would be better.
He said despite the situation, they are doing their best to keep the nation update of weather situation around the country.
“It is a hard work but we have to do it for the sake of our people.”
He urged the government to prioritise buying a Rader for their office.
