White River Community High School (CHS) Team White remains unbeaten in the Bulk Shop School Futsal Championship men’s open category after defeating Bishop Epalle 3–1 in their top-of-the-table Pool A clash on Monday at the Multi-Purpose Hall.
Both teams entered the match unbeaten from their first three games, knowing that victory would secure the top spot in the group heading into the knockout stages.
The win sees White River CHS Team White finish atop Pool A with 12 points, while Bishop Epalle advances as runners-up with 9 points.
In other results, Naha CHS Team A beat Honiara High Team B 3–0 to secure a spot in the next round, finishing second behind Saint Nicholas College in Pool D.
A dominant 6–0 victory for Koloale CHS over Mount Horeb saw them top Pool C, edging out Bishop Norman Palmer School on goal difference after both sides finished their pool matches tied on 9 points each.
Meanwhile, HIPS registered their first point of the competition after holding White River CHS Team Red to a 1–1 draw in their final match.
The final men’s open category pool match takes place on Wednesday, with Honiara High School Team A, who have already secured a place in the next stage set to face Panatina CHS, who will be looking to finish their Pool B campaign with at least a point.
The match will take place at 2:35pm at the Multi Purpose Hall.
