A GROUP of women has supported Mbokona School in Central Honiara with the construction of a footpath.
The footpath is being constructed by graduates from Infrastructure and Service Delivery Training (ISDT) offered by CAUSE Project.
Women graduates are the front liners in implementing the project. These women come from areas within Mbokona community.
Mbokona school caters for kindy, primary and secondary school students.
Once the project is completed soon students will enjoy the footpath that connects all classrooms within the school.
The footpath is about 480 meters long connecting buildings and making life easier for students and teachers to walk easily and freely within the school especially during rainy seasons.
One of the women said she was very happy to put into practice what she has learnt through-out the seven (7) days training provided by CAUSE Project. She also felt happy for her small contribution towards the school by way of helping out in the construction of the project. As such it will be a memory that will remain with her for the years to come.
Meanwhile, teachers of the school praised and thanked CAUSE Project for providing easy access to students and teachers of the school.
CAUSE Project is funded by World Bank and jointly implemented by Honiara City Council (HCC) and Ministry of Infrastructure Development (MID)
