The Solomon Islands Basketball Federation (SIBF) has recently announced the women basketball team final squad that will represent the country in the upcoming FIBA Melanesian Cup which will be held in Honiara later this month.
The women’s final squad consisted of 12 member squad including: Annie Homelo, Britney Basia, Edella Animamu, Francyne Solomon, Hemah Aquillah, Loremarose Tahani, Monique Wanefai, Pattysha Basia, Ruth Sade, Shephia Manu, Wainita Kausua, and Winnie Laora.
These are the 12 members final squad that are gearing up in final preparations as a team ahead of the tournament which will kickoff from 13-18 this months at the Friendship hall.
A lot of work has been done by the athletes and the coaching staffs over the months and weeks until they come up with the final 12 members squad.
A total of 24 member training squad has been released earlier by the SIBF, last month and with ongoing trainings the squad has been trimmed to where it is today, fully ready to hit the court.
