A TWO-DAY fundraising drive organized by Hearts of Hopes (HOH) at Bina, West Kwaio was described as successful.
Founder of HOH Janet Aihari said the fundraising scooped over $5000.
“That was a very encouraging result in a move to help dress orphans,” Mrs Aihari said.
She said the fundraising was to help purchase clothes and uniforms for orphans.
“Orphans from each community in Central Kwara’ae that HOH works closely with will receive uniforms.
“The uniforms were to be worn by children in each community so that the organisation can include them in activities.
She said future fundraisings will be conducted in communities the orphans come from.
Mrs Aihari thanked members of the Bina community for the support and to musical bands that provided entertainment during the fundraising event.
She said around 600 people joined in to support the fundraising.
