A 15-YEAR-OLD male accused of breaking into a house at Agape, West Honiara, and stealing mobile phones and $1,300 in cash will be summoned to appear in court on September 26.
The juvenile who could not be named for legal reasons is facing one count of Burglary.
The defendant was supposed to appear in court on Monday but had failed to turn up.
The prosecution informed the court that the police have yet to serve a summon on the defendant as he moves locations, making it difficult for the police to locate him.
As a result, the matter was adjourned to September 26 to allow time for the police to locate the juvenile and serve a summon on him.
The juvenile is charged in connection to a burglary that occurred at about 4am on 25 June 2025.
The complainant, a female football manager, was reportedly still asleep when the defendant allegedly broke into her house.
The defendant allegedly removed two mobile phones and a purse containing $1,300 cash and her NPF card.
The complainant, upon discovering that her possessions were missing in the morning, reported the matter to the White River police.
Acting on the report, police arrested the defendant and recovered the two mobile phones, but not money, which was allegedly spent by the defendant.
The defendant has yet to obtain legal representation. Public Prosecutor Jeremy Oiofa appears for the Crown.
