Dear Editor – Please allow me to voice my concern to the National Government.
From the blue ocean along the coast of Guadalcanal to the jungle forest of central Guadalcanal, we carry forward the voices of our indigenous landowners, children and youths of Gold Ridge.
We call on the government to prioritize our people when it comes to sustainable development plans.
Our people have a deep connection to the land not just our rich wealth but our identity and cultural heritage.
The voice and rights of our people is paramount in which, the exclusion decision of indigenous people is not only disrespects us but posing a long-term peace and sustainability to our land.
