THREE days South Sea Evangelical Church (SSEC) youth convention organized for SSEC youths from both west and East Arosi, Makira ended successfully on Sunday.
According to Pr Stanley Aitorea who was the guest speaker for that program, the program was hosted at the Oneibia village in East Arosi.
Pr Aitorea said that the program was an enjoyable one for young Christians who attended it.
He revealed that about 645 youths from around the area attended the program.
“This number includes youths from SSEC, Catholic, Anglican and other religions which makes it colourful,” he added.
He stated that during the program, youths also received bible teachings, health awareness and youth leadership how to lead youths in the communities in Christian life.
He said that theme for the convention was, ‘Growing Christ.’
“We discovered how to grow our youths in Christ.
“It was an interesting one for those who attended the convention,” Mr. Aitorea revealed.
He added that they have proposed that another convention will be hosted in the area again in 2017.
He urged the youths to stay focus in Christ despite circumstances they might go through during these years.
“Stay focus until we met again in 2017,” Pr Aitorea stated.
