SUVA, (FBC NEWS) – An 18 storey tower for MHCC in downtown Suva will add to the capital’s skyline, it has been confirmed.
The Carpenters Fiji Group which owns the building, has been given the green light for the project to proceed.
Malaysia based company owner, Sir Mogan Lourdenadin was recently in Fiji, and has signed off on the MHCC Tower project.
“We’ve had tremendous interest from local companies – or foreign companies operating locally, so that tells you that everyone’s positive. That a project that will be taking off. We’ve got a few others in the pipeline.”
The flagship property for the Carpenters Group, MHCC was opened in 2007 and quickly became the hub of Suva City.
Meanwhile, Sir Mogan confirms that their $200 million foreshore project is still in the pipeline.
“We’re waiting for government approvals. We’ve submitted all our plans. We believe it’s a viable project and definitely lots of interest. We’re awaiting government. A bit of red tape.”
