The Wanguo Gold Group, major shareholders of Gold Ridge Mining Limited (GRML), will host a grand 2026 New Year Celebration Gala on 31 December 2025 at the Gold Ridge Mine Site, Central Guadalcanal.
The celebration — titled “Wanguo Gold Ridge Night 2026” is the first of its kind reflects the company’s commitment to progress, unity, and shared prosperity, as it continues its journey of responsible mining and meaningful partnership with communities across the Solomon Islands.
It will commence at 7pm.
The event will bring together Government Ministers, Provincial Government leaders, the Chinese Embassy, Australian High Commissioner, stakeholder Ministries and institutions, representatives from key national agencies, landowner leaders, chiefs, women and youth representatives, and surrounding communities.
Their participation underscores the value of inclusive development and shared ownership of progress linked to the Gold Ridge Mine.
The evening will feature a rich and diverse program blending Solomon Islands culture with international artistic performances. Highlights include:
• Traditional Solomon Islands Panpipe Dance (Tafi Vaka from Tikopia)
• GRML staff musical and cultural presentations
• Chinese classical and folk-art performances, including:
– Sichuan Opera “Face-Changing”
– Classical Sleeve Dance
– Xinjiang Folk Dance Duet
• Live band entertainment by Soele Notes Band
• Vocal solos and duets in multiple languages
• Instrumental and dance fusion showcases
• Magic show and vocal mimicry performances
• A grand finale chorus featuring performers and guests
The night will conclude with a 10-minute fireworks display, welcoming 2026 with hope, unity, and optimism.
