The Buruku Seventh-day Adventist (SDA) Church on Rendova Island in Western Province has commenced preparations to take part in the upcoming Solomon Islands for Christ evangelistic campaign scheduled for mid this year 2026.
The Solomon Islands for Christ campaign is a nationwide outreach program organised by the Adventist Church.
According to Buruku SDA Committee the initiative will see churches throughout the country conduct coordinated evangelistic meetings alongside community-based activities such as health services and school programs.
At the local level, members of the Buruku church are working closely with the Ughele community to prepare for the event.
Renovation work is currently underway on a staff house at Buruku Community High School, which will accommodate a visiting guest speaker during the campaign period.
While the identity of the guest preacher has yet to be confirmed, church leaders say preparations are progressing well and members are looking forward to hosting the program.
The Solomon Islands for Christ campaign is expected to be one of the major church-led events scheduled for two weeks in July 2026, bringing together communities across the country in an united outreach effort to share God’s end time final message.
