Vice-Chairman of Solomon Kings, Rabieh Krayem happy with commitment shown towards team
The leadership of Solomon Kings FC has formally conveyed its appreciation to the Government of the Solomon Islands for its support in enabling the establishment and continued advancement of the nation’s first professional football team.
During a courtesy visit to the Prime Minister, Hon. Jeremiah Manele MP, late afternoon, Vice-Chairman of Solomon Kings, Rabieh Krayem, expressed the team’s sincere gratitude for the Government’s leadership and enduring commitment to the development of football in the country.
Vice-Chairman Krayem briefed the Prime Minister on the team’s ongoing preparations for the Fourth Round of the OFC Professional League, and highlighted the growing impact of the club both domestically and across the regional sporting community.
“The commitment demonstrated by the Prime Minister and Cabinet has enabled these players to compete professionally and represent the Solomon Islands with pride and distinction on the regional stage,” Mr. Krayem stated.
Prime Minister Manele congratulated the team on its outstanding performance and reaffirmed the Government’s continued commitment to supporting Solomon Kings FC as a vehicle for national pride, youth empowerment, and international representation.

The Prime Minister commended the players for their hard work and sacrifice, noting that they represent the Solomon Islands with honour and are exemplary ambassadors for the nation.
Discussions during the meeting also explored future opportunities for football development in the country, including long-term strategies to strengthen grassroots participation, expand coaching and technical development programmes, and build sustainable pathways for national teams to compete at the highest levels of international football.
Prime Minister Manele further underscored the broader role that sport, particularly football can play in advancing national priorities, including youth development, education, health promotion, social cohesion, and economic opportunities associated with international sporting events.
Vice-Chairman Krayem was accompanied during the meeting by the President of the Solomon Islands Football Federation, Mr. Donald Marahare.
