A cruise boat Hanseatic Inspiration made a one day stop over in Honiara on Sunday 12 April 2026.
A statement by Tourism Solomons said, the passengers were able to explore parts of Honiara and Guadalcanal during the stop over.
“Welcoming 180 cruise passengers plus 170 crew to our shores, with 95 guests exploring Honiara and beyond on guided tours.
The majority passengers on board are Germans.”
As part of the short visit the guests were able to enjoy a vibrant day at the Betikama outdoor museums tours, visit the US Memorial at Skyline, make a stop over at the National Parliament, National visit to the Museum, Art gallery while others enjoy a stroll around Honiara City.
Hanseatic Inspiration is a 5-star, 230-passenger luxury expedition ship operated by Hapag-Lloyd Cruises, launched in 2019.
Designed for polar navigation with PC6 ice class, it offers bilingual (German/English) itineraries, including the Arctic, Antarctica, and the Great Lakes.
