Matches in the Our Telekom sponsored soccer league in Auki, Malaita, were cancelled yesterday due to poor field condition.
Caretaker grounds manager and referee Jerold Oiaka made the decision just before the kick-off of the first match.
Oiaka said the field condition was too wet after Friday’s heavy downpour.
He said if the situation improves, one match can be played today while the other two will be deferred as catch up matches.
Oiaka urged the public not to use the Auki field when it is wet.
