BMOBILE/VODAFONE is currently engaging in its expansion mode, where yesterday it officially launched its first ever phone booth in Honiara.
This was revealed by the company’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Niall Downey in an interview with members of the media on Tuesday.
“We have just finished our project and we are the largest network provider in Honiara.
“An additional twelve towers have just been completed; the latest was just done over the weekend.
“In all Honiara, not even one black spot with Bmobile/Vodafone,” Mr Downey said.
He added that, the more towers they build, the less chance a customer’s phone will fail.
Mr Downey added that the big news is what they will be launching at the end of this month.
“We are launching a new satellite, at the end of this month.
“It’s going to give four times faster download speed and for the first time in Solomon Islands on your mobile, you will be able to download music and movies.
“You will be able to stream the upcoming rugby world cup matches live on your mobile phone,” the CEO said.
Apart from the satellite launching, they will also launch the international pass promotion on the beginning of September.
He added that, what they have been working on in the expansion mode was call quality and they are hoping to be the biggest network provider in Honiara by the end of this year.
