Since Kilu’ufi is one of the business location in Malaita provincial capital town, BSP customers in Malaita are calling on the Bank management to install an ATM machine at the Kilu’ufi Hospital.
Kilu’ufi is the only major Hospital in Malaita, a populated province in the country.
The Hospital serves a huge number of people who are frequent visitors to the facility.
It was also said that a high number of health workers are currently working and living at Kilu’ufi where most of them have their bank accounts with BSP.
A sick patient at the hospital has expressed his concern over how at times find it difficult to get cash when the Auki ATM runs out of money.
Therefore, he urges the BSP Management to install an ATM booth at the hospital’s vicinity.
He said sick people, visitors, and health workers need such banking services available in the hospital area.
Meanwhile, Malaita Province Minister for Commerce, Culture & Tourism Glen Waneta said Malaita is a populated province.
Besides, the province recorded a large number of businesses, government offices, Non-Government Organisation establishes in the province.
Therefore, the provincial government sees it important for BSP to consider the need of having an ATM machine at Kilu’ufi hospital.
He explained that having an ATM at Kilu’ufi hospital will be more convenient to health workers, sick patients, and visitors at the hospital.
However, BPS has only two ATM machines install outside the bank building in Auki.
