SOME members of Kadere Party (SI) have expressed frustration over delay of funds to campaign in their respective constituencies before the elections on November 19.
One member of the Party, who wants to remain unknown, said some members have already left to their constituencies by using their own funds.
“Our Party executive told us that there is still no money to support members.
“Therefore, our executive urged us to seek funding outside to prepare for the elections,” the candidate said.
However, President of Kadere Party, Alfred Legua has denied that funds are delayed to support their members in the campaign.
Under the Political Party Integrity Act 2014, parties will have to raise their own funds for the campaign.
But after election, every elected members in the Party can claim a grant of $20,000 per year, and every elected women MP an additional grant of $10,000 per year.
