More than a hundred people are expected to take the water of baptism tomorrow at a ceremony to be organised by the Seventh Day Adventist Church at Lunga river, East Honiara.
This follows the completion of the two weeks public evangelical program which is currently held in Honiara.
President of the Solomon Islands Mission (SIM) of the Seven Day Adventist Pastor George Fafale said the baptism is set for this coming Saturday.
He said more than a hundred people are confirm to receive the baptism.
The president said it will be an important day for those who will be receiving the baptism to become the members of the church.
He explained that those who are yet or under the age of 14 years old are call the member of the Sabbath school.
Adding, after the baptism these members can work as church officers, take responsibility, work to help people like Jesus did as stated in the biblical context.
“We baptise those who are above 14 years where they have good mentality and understand the Bible and the world. We baptise people in the water as Jesus do in the river of Jordan which was stated in the Bible,’’ Pastor Fafale said.
He urged those who will receive baptism tomorrow to take Jesus in the life as part of strengthening their Christian life when engaging in future responsibilities.
Meanwhile Pr George on behalf of the Church thanked the public, members of the other denominations, communities for their support and contribution in the two weeks evangelical meeting.
