The managing director of the closed down mini casino Cyber King will plea to the allegations against him on July 11.
Ting Kwong Hing appeared in the Honiara Magistrates’ Court this week and his bail was further extended to that time when he will return to enter his plea.
The court also heard on Tuesday that disclosures were served to the defence already.
Michael Pitakaka of MP Law chambers is also out of the country therefore, one of his lawyers stood in to ask for the adjournment.
The matter is now with the Office of the Director of Public Prosecution after it was transferred from the Police Prosecutions.
Deputy Chief Magistrate Shepherd Lapo therefore adjourned the matter for plea.
The accused faces charges of unlawful gaming and unlawful possession of instruments for gaming which police alleged he had them in his possession since 2005.
His was charged under section 10 of the Gaming and Lotteries Act.
The new mini casino Cyber King that operated at Crossroad, Henderson has been ordered to close its doors on 27 April this year, just days after opening its doors.
This followed a stop notice served to them by the Members of the Gaming and Lottery Board.
This is for allegedly operating unlawfully for the reason that the company has no commercial gaming permit issued by the Gaming and Lotteries Board.
