Church of Melanesia (COM) in Solomon Island on Friday officially re-launched a new church website at its head office in Honiara.
The website was relaunched after its first church website was not working properly and was never recognised by Anglican Church members.
Relaunching of website was aimed to reconnects Anglican members in Solomon Island, Vanuatu, New Zealand and New Caladonia .
The website contained stories about the Church its activities and announcements for its members in other countries to access and read it.
Anglican Church General Secretary in Solomon Island Abraham Hauriasi during the launching at church conference room said the Church was indeed blessed to re-launch its second website after its first church website was not working.
“This website would now connect all Anglican members in Solomon Island and other countries by reading news in this website.
“We can’t go to other places but by reading this website it would bring us one,” he said.
Mr Hauriasi said Church had many programes and activities happening but people are not being informed about it since every members are residing faraway.
“Distance and isolation has been a greatest concern of the Church to know what is happening in our church.
“Since we re-launch this website again our Church members in other islands and countries would now depend on this website to get updates from other Church members in other countries which is easy and connect our members together,” he said.
