LAND CRAB supply at the main market continues at the steady pace despite the off season.
A female farmer from Doma said the normal land crab season lapsed a fortnight ago.
“In our areas, crabs continue to roam the plantations.
“This is unusual, because it’s well into the New Year and our usual forecast was for it to end at the end of December.”
She said it is unbelievable but added that it is a blessing for people to continue the harvest and supply to customers in Honiara.
She said local women have made good money from selling land crabs in the past month.
