THE Global Vision Company Limited on Friday donated some basic medical equipment to Tegano Clinic, Tegano Village East Rennell, Rennell and Bellona Province.
The donation ceremony was held at the Global Vision Company Limited Head Office, Ranadi.
Speaking to Solomon Star after the donation, Global Vision Company Limited, Consultant, Mr. Tommy Tam said the donation of the basic medical equipment is more of a courtesy and continuous support if Global Vision fostering in the communities.
Mr. Tam said Global Vision always went to the needy when necessary.
“With the plea from Tenago Clinic because it is very far away, we recognized that, and we try our best to assist with the basic medical equipments that hopefully will assist the medical officer there to perform his or her duties with the equipment,” Mr. Tam said.
He added that they are very pleased to assist in every way they can.
“We will always continue with our community awareness as we have always done,” Mr. Tam said.
Senior Medical Officer stationed at Tegano Clinic, Registered Nurse, Mr. Alredon Toata after the donation thanked Global Vision Company Limited for the donations and seeing the needs of the people who will be needing the equipment when seek medical services at the Tenago Clinic.
Mr. Toata said the donation from Global Vision Company Limited is one of the first ever donations given to the clinic since its reopening in 2020 after been closed for more than two years.
He added also given the location of the clinic that posed difficult transportation of medical supplies to the clinic, the donations will help four of the villages that are currently using the services of the clinic.
He then acknowledged the medical suppliers such as a blood pressure monitor, otoscopes, stethoscopes and thermometers would be crucial to assist him with his prognosis of his patients. And solar lighting provided will assist him during night duties.
Also the donation from Global Vision Company Limited to Tegano Clinic is through Mrs. Cindy Carroll, who hails from Hutuna Village.
Mrs. Carroll said that she is delighted that Global Vision has continued to foster its community awareness to the far reaches of the Solomon Islands.
Meanwhile, it is understood Global Vision Company Limited trading as Delite Industries is a Local Food Manufacturing Company and has been operational since 2004, and is an active participant of community’s work throughout Solomon Islands.
