The Government has commended Solomon Fuel and Gas Company (SFG) for opening its new fuel depot at Lungga on Friday.
SFG was a local company and a third player in the energy sector.
Special Secretary to the Prime Minister Rence Sore said this was a substantive vestment.
“I congratulate you for this substantive investment,” he told company directors at the opening ceremony.
“I can assure you that the government knows that this is a substantive contribution to the economy of the Solomon Islands.
“The foundation of all government development priorities today is firmly built on the desire for our leaders to grow our economy.
“This initiative is a strong indicator that more employment opportunities are now available for our working population.”
