INTERNATIONAL journalists on a three-month study tour in China were introduced to Artificial Intelligence (AI)-embraced telecommunication and broadcasting service contents showcased at the 31st China Content Broadcasting Network Exhibition (CCBN) in Beijing.
CCBN is largest annual broadcasting technology and equipment expo in the Asia-Pacific region and boasts 60,000 square metres of exhibition space, attracting more than 1000 exhibitors and 100,000 professional visitors from more than 30 countries.
The annual show is committed to boosting technological innovation and promoting industrial transformation in the domain of broadcasting and has served as an industrial benchmark since its inception.
It has become a comprehensive sci-tech exhibition that integrates exhibits, conferences and discussions, international exchanges and information releases, highlighting professionalism, authority, internationalisation, innovation and leadership, and thus an important platform for the promotion of digital and intelligence development, and the transformation of the audiovisual industry.
On Thursday 24 April, the second day of the three-day exhibition, the international journos were taken to witness what the CCBN is like.
The journos took time to visit the exhibition booths of Beijing’s Enlight Media, Audio-Visual Sichuan, BRTV (Beijing Radio and Television),Sony Group Corporation and Dayang TV where they were introduced to the cutting edge products and services provided by these broadcasting companies.
Beijing Enlight Media is a private Chinese television programme production and operation company. The company’s main business is investment, production, and distribution of television programmes and films.

Its three main media content products are television programmes, performing arts events, and films. Television programmes and performing arts events are independently produced and distributed, generating revenue through programme copyright sales or advertising marketing.
Films are primarily invested in and distributed, with a small amount of involvement in production.
The company was recognised as one of the “Top 10 Leading Enterprises in China’s Cultural and Creative Industries in 2009” at the China Beijing International Cultural and Creative Industry Expo.
BRTV is a government-owned television network originated in Beijing. Its radio division was established in 1949 and its TV in 1979 after the original Beijing Television was renamed CCTV (Central China Television). BRTV’s Radio and TV divisions have been part of Beijing Media Network since 1 June 2010.
Dayang TV is the People’s Liberation Army television network. The newly built military broadcast facility is equipped to originate, post produce, and uplink programmes for CCTV Channel 7, which covers teenage, agricultural and military themes.

Beijing Enlight Media, BRTV, Dayang TV and Sony Group Corporation, like other broadcasting platforms in China have advanced to using AI in their content creation, setting a new era in the Chinese broadcasting landscape.
