A 55 year-old man has denied allegations that he indecently assaulted three young girls in the Central Islands Province since last year.
The man who cannot be named to protect the identity of the girls of which one was young as 10 years old, faces four counts of indecent assault.
He denied the allegations in the magistrates’ court yesterday.
The court heard yesterday he allegedly indecently assaulted one of the girls and exposed his private body part to the three alleged victims on various dates between 31 December 2015 and 5 June this year.
The alleged incident occurred at a particular area in the Russell Islands.
Acting Deputy Chief Magistrate Shepherd Lapo after taking note of the accused not guilty pleas adjourned the matter to December 29 for a pre-trial conference and possibly setting a trial date.
Ben Alasia of Public Solicitor’s Office (PSO) represents the accused while Public Prosecutor Sirepu Ngava appeared for the Crown yesterday.
