The lady said the incident has awaken the students at the nearby dormitories who came out and witnessed the MP, who was questioned by the security officer after dropping off the student.
Our informer said she was surprised to see a national leader behave like that in front of the students.
“His appearance when stopped in front of the gate was like somebody being under the influence of alcohol,” the informer claimed.
The woman said she had warned him not to drive recklessly into the school compound and must apologise to the school for damaging the boom gate at the entry.
Meanwhile, a security officer Rinaldo Lobo who witnessed the incident confirmed to the Solomon Star that Dr Sikua was driving at high speed when he hit the boom gate.
Mr Lobo said a report was lodged to the school principal who will consult the relevant authorities about the matter.
