Parishioners of Holy Cross Parish have been blessed with the erection of a new Grotto on Monday.
The newly made Grotto is standing left facing the Cathedral.
It was blessed alongside the statues of Saint Joseph De worker and Mary Mother of Jesus known as the (Holy Family) by his Grace Archbishop Christopher Michael Cordon OP.
The Blessing offered to mark the feast day of Saint Joseph De worker (solemnity) which was on Monday the 20th this week which all the Catholic fathers jointed together in celebration.
The statues were donated by the Member of Parliament (MP) for North West Guadalcanal Mr. Bodo Dettke in the last couple of years under his Constituency Community funded project (CCFP).
The idea of the donation is for all local Churches inside his Constituency to have three sets of statues.
According to vicar General of Holy Cross Parish, Fr Peter Houhou, the Grotto a yet to complete and works on the Grotto will continue and expected to complete after the Easter season.
