National Olympic Committee of Solomon Islands (NOCSI) is yet to receive confirmation on the arrival of the South Pacific Games relay baton in the country.
President of NOCSI Martin Rara said they only received email from Pacific games committee that the relay baton will be going around in the participating countries but there were no details about it.
“We have received email from Pacific games organising committee in Papua New Guinea that the relay baton will be around in the country but there was no confirmation as to when it will arrive in our country,” Mr Rara said.
He reminds all the federations that the pacific game is schedule for July 4-18.
He said about 17 countries in the region will part be participating in the pacific games to be hosted in Papua New Guinea.
He urges all the federations to work closely with NOCSI in preparation for the pacific games.
