Solomon Island National Provident Fund (SINPF) has discovered that a number of employees have registered more than one names when paying their contributions.
In an interview with the Solomon Star during the financial inclusive expo held at the National Art Gallery (NAG) on Friday a spokesperson for the fund said they have found out that some employees are using different names in their NPF contributions when employed by different companies.
And because of that the NFP spokesperson has reminded the public especially those working to use only one name to make it easy for them to process their payments when they finish work.
The officer explained that there were cases of employees using different names when working for different companies.
“We would like to remind these employees to make sure you use one name in your NPF contribution.
“This to make your money safe and easy for us to locate your name in the data and deal with you without much problem.”
The officer warned that those using more than one name risks losing their money, if they are not using their real names.
“If you are using more than one name, it would be difficult of us to locate your right name and you could lose your money.
“Therefore NPF is reminding everyone in the country to please use one name when you work for any company,” the NFP spokesperson said.
The officer said there are cases they came across on Friday during the expo where people who checked for their NPF balances at SINPF stall used different names when they work for different company.
“We have found out some people using different names when they were employed by another company. And we totally disagree with that.
“And so SINPF encourages employees to use only one recommended name when you register at NPF.”
