The Solomon Islands largest Telecommunication Company, Our Telekom has donated 40 sim cards with $20 credits and 100 megabytes of data to the Papua New Guinea national football team currently in Honiara.
Our Telekom Sales Manager Barbara Kiere delivered the sim cards to the team’s head coach Flemming Serritslev in a brief hand over at the Lawson Tama Stadium, Wednesday.
Kiere Told Star Sports as Telecommunication service provider in the country, Our Telekom is so pleased to assist the team with the sim cards so that they can be able to communicate with the families and friends back in PNG.
“Our Telekom is providing the SIM cards to the team so that they can contact their families and friends back in PNG during their time here,’’ she said.
Papua New Guinea national men’s football team are currently in the country to have two friendly matches against our national football team as part of both teams’ preparations for the Oceania’s Nations Cup set to be staged in PNG, May this year.
Their first match has been scheduled for 3pm this afternoon at the Lawson Tama Stadium while their second friendly match will take place on Sunday March 27.
Entrance fee for grandstand is $50 while hillside will be $10 for adults and $5 for children.
