Dear Editor – I read the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) response to a letter written by Peter Forau from Vanuatu.
It was not my intention to be part of the arguments the two parties presented in this forum.
What I would like to comment on was the quality of the PMO response published in the Solomon Star.
I thought the PMO’s political office has two trained journalists, a lawyer with a doctoral degree, and a couple of well-educated officials.
So I wonder who penned that response and whether it was vetted at all before it was sent out to the papers.
I’m not a scribe, but I love to write in the English language.
I was expecting any media responses from the PMO, being the highest office of the land, would always be of the highest standard and quality.
But I saw none of that in the media statement they issued in the Solomon Star.
The statement was poorly written, unprofessional, and boring, to say the least.
I wonder who authored it!
