NATIONAL Umpires and referees were stunned by the raw talent exposed by Sikaiana sports men and women over the weekend at the Ever Green Sports Grounds in East Guadalcanal.
The tourney dubbed as the ‘Tu Atu Games’ attracted around 50 teams from Sikaiana living in Honiara and at home (Sikaiana).
National Netball Development Officer Mata Tolia who was officiating the Tu Ata netball games told Star Sports that a lot potential players are participated in the tournament.
“There are lots of raw talented netball players participated in this tournament.
“If I could specify, Manumoana, Tewila and Tepa has a lot of potential players.
“They are not even joining the HNA league, but they have the talent to play netball.
Volleyball umpires and football referees also uttered similar sentiments.
Meanwhile all Sikaiana players participated in the competition namely football, volleyball and netball are being urged to maintain their sportsmanship attitude, as one day they might be selected according to their ability.
