LOCAL reggae group Native Stone Age will don their new T-shirts – courtesy of bemobile Ltd – when they appeared on stage, Saturday.
The Malaita-based band, who hailed from east Fataleka, are organising a two-day concert today and tomorrow.
Band manager Israel Siau said the concert was organised to raise funds to meet costs related to their upcoming album, which would be their fourth.
Mr Siau said while Native Stone Age would be the feature band, they’ll also have performances from Amrock Solid, Jah Boy, TibonOge, and Cool Roots.
He appealed to the public to come out and enjoy the best of local reggae during the two-day concernt.
“There’s also one thing I want to let the public know,” Mr Siau said.
“It is this. That during the concert, a number of political songs composed as election awareness songs will be sang,” he said.
“These compositions were part of our election awareness efforts as we head towards the upcoming national elections,” he added.
Entrance fee is $10 for all ages.
Mr Siau thanked bemobile for supporting a village-based band, saying the support would go a long way towards youth development in east Fataleka.
