THE provincial speaker for Malaita province, Titus Fika says he has received two motion of no confidence over the weekend.
In an interview with Solomon Star on Tuesday, Titus Fika said that one is against Premier, Peter Ramohia and another one is against provincial finance minister Joe Hereau,
“Surely, I have received those two motions at 2:58pm last Friday,” Mr Fika said.
He explained MPA for ward one, Malcolm Moli has moved the one against the premier Peter Ramohia for illegally borrowing from money lenders and MPA for ward seven Leslie Kwaiga is moving that motion against Finance Minister for failing his duties as the provincial finance minister.
“I filed Motion of no confidence against Malaita provincial finance minister Joe Hereau because he miserably failed his duties to settle all outstanding ward grants to members of the Malaita provincial assembly pursuant to 2015/2016 Appropriation Ordinance 2015 at Auki, Malaita Province,”MrKwaiga said.
Mr Fika said that at the moment those two motions are there with him pending approval.
He added after consulting the AG chamber, he will make any decision on those motions.
“I will make any decision on those motions very soon before the assembly resumes later this month.”
He said that the assembly will resume on 19th this month.
