The South Seas Evangelical Church (SSEC) has commenced its week-long National Mission Summit in Honiara on Sunday, 17th August 2025.
The summit brings together an estimated 500 church leaders from SSEC’s six regions across the country to discuss key issues relating to mission and evangelism.
In support of the gathering, the Central Honiara Constituency has contributed $20,000, following an appeal made by SSEC General Secretary, Thomas Justus Weape, on 23rd July.
Constituency Development Officer (CDO) for Central Honiara, Rexford Paul, said Member of Parliament Gordon Darcy Lilo and his office recognized the importance of supporting the church within the constituency.
“This program will definitely help our churches to spread the gospel in our beloved country, Solomon Islands,” Paul said.
SSEC Reverend Cephas Kuba, on behalf of the church, conveyed heartfelt appreciation and profound gratitude for the generous support towards the program.
The summit will conclude on Friday, 22nd August 2025.
