A STARLINK Satelite Disk for Luesalemba Provincial Secondary School (LPSS) was delivered to the Project’s Fundraising Committee by the Tinakula Festival Association Committee 2024 on Tuesday.
The handing over was done at the Geotech Positioning Solutions Limited Office, fulfilling their promise to donate an internet disk for the school.
After a fundraising drive last Saturday for the internet disk, Tinakula Festival Committee 2024 gave interest to the Fundraising committee to help donate the internet disk worth $4,500k.
Thus, the Tinakula Festival Committee has proudly taken the significant step forward and donated the Starlink Satelite Disk in supporting education within the community and delivered it to the Fundraising Committee.
Speaking at the handing over ceremony, Tinakula Festival Committee Chairman Noel Nelu said, this initiative, aimed at securing essential technology for the school, marks a critical milestone in enhancing the educational infrastructure of Temotu Province.
“Tinakula Festival Committee, while dedicated to celebrating and promoting the diverse cultures of Temotu Province, is also committed to give back to the community.
“Supporting schools is a key aspect of this mission, reflecting the association’s dedication to the development and well-being of the province’s youth,” Mr Nelu said.
Bruce Trevor Palusi, on behalf of the Fundraising Committee, received the internet disk and expressed his gratitude for the support.
“This initiative will provide significant benefits to students in Forms 4, 5, 6 and 7 of Luesalemba PSS, both now and in the years to come.
“This contribution is more than just a technological advancement—it is an investment in the future of the students and the broader community,” Mr Palusi expressed.
Both the Fundraising Committee and Tinakula Fest Association Committee extend acknowledgement to everyone who came out to support at the fundraising event, recognizing that the collective endeavor has made an achievement with this positive impact to build a brighter future for Temotu Province and the Nation as a whole.
