National Development Strategy Framework (NDSF) 2016-2035 has commenced its review by line ministries of the government to further assess and evaluate its relevance to the long-term development plans of Solomon Islands.
The consultations on the NDSF started yesterday at the Mendana Hotel conference room.
Its the first of its kind, as long term development strategy frame-work for previous government were never brought into mutual discussion with line ministries and other relevant government agencies.
The consultations saw representatives from each ministries exchange comments and questions at the event, with Ministry of Development Planning and Aid Coordination facilitating the program.
Many government officers that attended the program have applauded the efforts of the Democratic Coalition for Change (DCC) government to bring in NDSF for scrutiny, by ministries that will implement the 20 years development aspirations of the country.
The consultations was fruitful and helpful for the nation as discussions shared paves way for strengthening efforts and identifying key areas that the NDSF is focusing on.
NDSF is targeting development in key sectors towards improving livelihood of all Solomon Islanders.
This Long term Development Strategy maps out a strategic direction for the future development of Solomon Islands as a sovereign nation.
