CARETAKER Malaita provincial premier Edwin Suibaea says he hopes to reclaim his provincial seatin yesterday’s election.
Speaking to this paper from Malu’u, Mr Suibaea said that he was confident of reclaiming his provincial seat in the Malaita provincial assembly (MPA).
“I have done my campaigning smoothly last week and hope to see positive results today (yesterday) after the counting,” he added.
He revealed that during his campaigning, people have responded positively and that makes him even more confident than the last election in 2010.
“My ward was flooded with voters from both Honiara and surrounding communities who are behind me this election,” Mr Suibaea added.
“Even though seven (7) candidates are up against me, I’m confident to reclaim my seat,” he said.
The Caretaker premier will prove his words today when counting starts. Counting for all the wards in North Malaita will be conducted in Malu’u.
