A TWO days workshop to equip Sunday school teachers with teaching skills ended successfully on Sunday 3rd May at Tulagi, Central province.
The program was facilitated by the Sunday school co-ordinator Francis Bosa and his assistant Martin Besiki from the Archdiocese of Honiara.
Mr Besiki said, the workshop program was purposely to equip Sunday school teachers in the Archdiocese of Honiara with the teaching skills.
“The workshop was purposely to train Sunday school teachers how to prepare a lesson plan by using the new format books, to help parents and teachers to know the importance of Sunday school program and for parents to support Sunday school programs in their own communities by encouraging and engaging their own children to attend lessons on Sundays.”
The workshop was attended by leaders and Sunday school teachers of the Catholic Communities in the area.
Facilitators have departed for Ulawa in Makira province to facilitate a one week similar training for Sunday school teachers in the communities.
The workshop is expected to end at the end of this week.
