Tonight at Club HP, Heritage Park Hotel will be the Blue Ocean Shipping Super 6 Singles followed by the Blue Ocean Shipping Super 6 Doubles.
Singles competition to start at 7pm and to be followed by the doubles at around 9pm.
It will be the Weight Lifting Federation’s turn to fundraise, a dance night with free entry for the members and only $30 for non members.
Happy 2 Hours start at 6pm and lasts for not one but two hours as the name implies. Solbrew will be sold at only $15 and anyone wanting to get drinks earlier at the same price may do so from the Pool Side Bar located along the coast.
Wight Lifting is one of the Sports that makes the country proud at International Tournaments. Their recent successes were at the last Pacific Mini Games at Wallis et Fotuna when one of their female lifters scooped a total of three gold medals, a record for any local athlete.
Blue Ocean Shipping is the sponsor for the competition as well as paying for the costs of running the fundraising. The shipping company is located at Ranadi and makes regular services to most provinces including Western and Malaita. LC Phoenix is one of their vessels.
And again Heritage Park Hotel is pleased to be supporting Solomon Islands main medal earners to raise funds. The Hotel avails their state of the art venue for National Sporting Federations to conduct fundraising activities for their trip to next year’s Pacific Games in Port Moresby, PNG.
