A Taiwan Mobile Medical Team is here to offer free medical service.
The trip is being funded by the Taiwanese government.
It was led by Dr Chin Yi-Ying, a dermatologist, and comprised of three medical doctors and three nurses from Taiwan Kaohsiung Medical University Chung-Ho Memorial Hospital.
While here, the team will first visit Tongan and Tango clinics of Renbel Province from 18th to 20th May and then visit Leona, Irregular and Dovele clinics on Vela Lavela Island, Western Province from 21st to 26th May.
The Taiwan Mobile Medical Team pays visits to the country twice a year.
It is one of the bilateral medical cooperation programs between the two countries, and aims at providing medical consultations and treatment to the rural people across the country.
