The Solomon Islands contingent to the Pacific Games in Port Moresby Papua New Guinea (PNG) returned home last Sunday with their medals.
The team arrived to a warm welcome by family and friends at the Henderson International Airport.
The first group of athletes and team officials arrives at 5am in the morning, the second at 11am and the final group at 4.30pm.
They were transport by Solomon Airlines through the charter agreement made by the Solomon Airlines and the Ministry of Home Affairs three weeks ago.
Most of the athletes who won medals were also among the returning athletes.
A total of 28 medals were won by six sports namely, Athletics, Weightlifting, Boxing, Paralympics, Taekwondo and Karate.
