SOLOMON Telekom last Friday opened its newest Fone Shop in central Honiara.
The new sales shop is located on the second floor of the newly opened Central Plaza complex close to the Central Market.
The new phone shop provides a more spacious room for staff and customers to do trading with customers.
During the opening yesterday afternoon, attended by business houses, Solomon Telekom Chief Executive Officer Loyley Ngira said the company wants to offer an environmentally friendly location to customers and clients.
He said the new phone shop location at the Central plaza offers an ideal friendly environment.
He said its central location in the heart of Honiara makes it more convenient for customers and clients to access its services.
Mr Ngira said the company’s next phone shop will be opening at Ranadi,east Honiara, taking business closer to workers in the industrial zone area.
He said hopefully the office should be up and running by September this year.
Thereafter, the company expects to open another shop at Rove area, west Honiara, sometimes during the year.
“We don’t just build phone shops, but we are also very busy here in Honiara with our mobile and fiber infrastructure development,”he said.
“We have commenced rolling out our fiber rings in Honiara city.
He said the company has brought the King George Vl and Ranadi area on-line this week with its new 40 meter tower there.
They will also be commencing their construction of another 2G and 3G tower at Lunga, as of Monday.
