THE country yesterday recorded 119 new Covid-19 cases and three deaths.
This brings the total number of Covid-19 cases recorded in the country to 5684 and total deaths to 77.
Incident Controller for National Health Emergency Operation Center, Ministry of Health and Medical Services Dr Nemia Bainivalu confirmed this during the health weekly talkback over the national broadcaster yesterday.
“The country recorded new cases of 119, bringing the total cases to 5684,” Dr Bainivalu said.
He said Solomon Islands also recorded three deaths.
“Unfortunately, we have recorded three deaths as of yesterday, one from Honiara and two from Guadalcanal province bringing the total deaths to 77,” Dr Bainivalu said.
Dr Bainivalu then urged communities to practice Covid-19 health safety measures.
Meanwhile, he said Rennell & Bellona and Temotu provinces still remain COVID-free.
