Since the passing away of the founding father of the nation late Sir Peter Kenilorea last Thursday, many citizens quickly suggested that his body should be laid to rest at the National Parliament area.
Many citizens in the country believe that such national leader should be laid at the National Parliament as the national icon for being the first Prime Minister of Solomon Islands.
Also joining the citizen who thinks the body of the late Sir Peter should be laid to rest at the National Parliament was the former Catholic Media Communication Officer Daniel Aba.
While he shared his condolence with the family of the late Sir Peter during this time of mourning, he also suggests that the body of the founder father of the nation should be laid at the National Parliament.
He said the Speaker of the Parliament together with the current DCC Government and the family of the late Sir Peter should consider laying the body of the national hero to rest at the National Parliament site.
However he said while many ordinary citizens had point out their desires for the body of the late Sir Peter to be laid at the National Parliament site, he said the decision made by the immediate family of late Sir Peter should be respected.
This paper was informed yesterday that the body of late Sir Peter will be transported to this home in East Are’Are, Malaita this afternoon where his body will be laid to rest.
