The High School Holiday 3×3 Jam is set for tomorrow Tuesday, June 30.
It will be held at the Multi-purpose hall from 10am to 6pm.
The competition is expected to finish off on Wednesday July 1.
Organizers call on schools in and around Honiara to quickly register their team to participate.
Only 10 spaces are available for boys and girls category, and schools can enter more than 1 team.
Interested schools are urged to hurry and register as limited spaces are available.
Registration fees are $20 per player and $100 per team of 4 players.
Attractive prizes are also up for grab for both boys and girls, and also individual awards.
The Jam is part of 3×3 schools development program, and would like to invite schools in and around Honiara to make use of the opportunity to participate at the Jam.
Organizers said, it is more than just playing basketball, but more of a youth festival.
The key values and aims for student athletes are to develop students’ self-esteem, self-motivation and self-discipline, maintain a pre-agreed, contractual high level of academic performance, provide individuals with additional life skills that they may take up their roles in society as active, healthy and knowledgeable citizens, develop athletes’ fundamental technical skills in the 3×3 basketball sport to an elite level so they can succeed anywhere in the world at all levels and to identify and promote each athlete’s potential so they might learn and strive for excellence in all areas of life.
